Published March 20th, 2006 in BroadbandA special committee report published last week concluded that Government progress on broadband has been ‘almost non-existent’.
It reveals the Government’s startling ignorance of the importance of broadband provision.
The recommendations for developing a national high-speed broadband infrastructure have been made time and again. It’s time to act.

Living in Enniskerry and trying to run a business from home with a
3-G Modem is pathetic in August of 2007 - what must we do as citizens to mobilise the Government to get activated on the importance of Broadband roll-out. All the glory days of the last decade will slip through our fingers - what action groups can be joined to get this topic into a hotter position?
Here in the uk the government wants everyone to have high speed internet access through a designated dsl carrier. This can only be a good thing to allow everyone Internet access. Some debate as who is to pay. Perhaps the Internet Service Providers can pay for those who cannot afford it.
