		<description>I suspect that the minister is being creative with his figures.  It could well be that a large percentage of the population are connected to broadband enabled exchanges but too far away to actual receive the service.

It seems also that Eircom are now concentrating more on upgrade the speed for those who have broadband rather than on providing connections for those who have nothing.

So Ireland will be a two tier society when it comes to telecomms - you either have 6 MB connection or dial up.</description>
