There should be a way to gather support to reduce these toll fees; if enough people organize and oppose these fees, won't the pressure cause the leaders to reduce or eliminate them?

The M50 fiasco has artificially divided the entire eastern seaboard for years. The 50% increase is nothing short of incredible, and all the more so as the upgraded M50 won’t even be a state-of-the-art road, but rather a micky-mouse bypass with a fixed 100kph limit to cover up the level of under-engineering.. a modern road like this would be expected to have variable speed limits to manage traffic flow.

It’s also worth pointing out that even at the current €2 euro fee, a motorist using the M50 every day will probably pay more over a year than they do in road tax. The idea taht the "user pays" is a farce.. the user has already paid handsomely.
