The small person is suffering , who will be our voice or campaigner ? I am a victim of pension fund investments less 30%. No advice from brokers or fund managers, no real management of funds just keep throwing it into loss making investments!The goverment has encouraged private pensions investment, who will pay us now in our old age !

your enthusiasm for the cause is a truly mobilising force however I feel it is lost to 99% of your target audience sitting here in your quiet corner of the web. Can you consider getting this article published in the mainstream media?

Not thankfully a direct shareholder of any of the banks, but as a ‘member’ of the EBS I would be interested to hear how things are progressing at that institution. Having experienced the difficulty of squeezing a mortgage from them in the past I was very surprised to hear they were in trouble too.

As you point out, there are a lot of folk who have been burnt with their pension nest egg in supposed “Blue Chip” banking shares.

Unfortunately history teaches us that the top executives simply have to stonewall for an afternoon, and will be carried by “our” big pension funds before retiring to the Horseshoe for refreshment whilst the rest of us fiddle for the bus fare home . . .

In principle I am game, but would need to see a groundswell to justify two 65 Euro rail fares to Dublin.
