Dear Shane,

A pleasure to see an orator in parliament, i.e., one who actually knows how to speak in public.

The Broadband situation in this country is still dire; we are well into the 21st century and still have no supply from Eircom out in much of the west of Ireland -- and yet they (Eircom) dare to advertise on the TV that they are now in a position to offer what they call 'Second Generation Broadband' -- or some such catchphrase -- to their customers. What a travesty of the truth! I was paying through the nose for their dial-up service; I mean they were making a great deal of money out of me until I discovered 3 mobile broadband.

Regards,
