Trinity Constituency
Published January 29th, 2007 in Other IssuesThis is the homepage for the University of Dublin (Trinity) constituency. Above, you will see pages for recent Trinity News, Trinity alumni events, some useful Trinity websites, as well as a page explaining Seanad Eireann. Below I explain who is entitled to vote in the Trinity Seanad election.
The graduates of the University of Dublin are represented in the Irish Parliament by three senators. If you are a graduate of the University and are a citizen of Ireland, North or South, then you are entitled to vote for these three seats. Furthermore, if you are a graduate of DIT and your degree has been awarded through Trinity, you are also entitled to vote on this constituency.
You do not have to be resident in Ireland, and the ballot is carried out by post. Graduates from all over the world vote in the Seanad elections - If you aren’t registered to vote, download the form below here: registration-form.pdf and claim your vote
