Seanad to Debate my Broadband Motion

Published August 11th, 2006 in Broadband

I have placed a motion on the Seanad Order Paper calling on the government to accelerate the rollout of broadband. This will be debated before Christmas.

“That Seanad Eireann, in the light of inconvenience to individuals and the potential damage being done to the reputation of this country in terms of efficient communications, calls on the Government to maximise the resources being put into ensuring broadband access in every home and business in Ireland.”

The Government continues to fail to act in respect of this pressing issue. As such, Broadband will be a top priority of mine in the coming session.
