1. Shane Ross - First Preferences: 5379 (32%)

2. David Norris - First Preferences: 5240 (31%)

3. Ivana Bacik - First Preferences: 2794 (17%)

Late last night, the results of the first count of the Trinity Constituency were announced.  A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me and who supported me through the campaign to achieve this marvellous result.

Trinity Seanad Election 2007: Last Chance To Get Your Ballots Into Trinity!

The closing date for receipt of ballots for the Trinity Seanad election is this Tuesday, 24th July. If you are have not yet returned your ballot, then it is important to post it back to Trinity immediately.

If you are having difficulties getting your ballot, there is still time to get it to you if we act fast! Contact me at shane.ross@oireachtas.ie. I can ask Trinity to reissue your ballot to an address you provide, home or away.

Welcome back to the People’s Republic of Aer Lingus. Just for a moment, as recently as last October, innocent investors believed that the national airline had defected to the West. We should never have doubted her.

Last week, a privatised airline was cemented in the grip of a bolshie, bearded workforce. A misnamed Competition Commissioner acted as its protector from capitalism.

Trinity Seanad Election 2007: Contact Me If You Are Having Any Problems With Your Ballot!

All registered graduates of Dublin University/Trinity College should have received their ballots for the Trinity Seanad Election by this time. If you have not yet received it, or you are having trouble getting it from your Post Office or Trinity, please contact me at: shane.ross@oireachtas.ie.

Also, many people may be away when the registered letter arrives to their home. If this is the case, it will automatically bounce back to the post office for a short time and then to Trinity. Again, contact me if you would like it resent to your home.
