Dear Shane,

A pleasure to see an orator in parliament, i.e., one who actually knows how to speak in public.

The Broadband situation in this country is still dire; we are well into the 21st century and still have no supply from Eircom out in much of the west of Ireland — and yet they (Eircom) dare to advertise on the TV that they are now in a position to offer what they call ‘Second Generation Broadband’ — or some such catchphrase — to their customers. What a travesty of the truth! I was paying through the nose for their dial-up service; I mean they were making a great deal of money out of me until I discovered 3 mobile broadband.

We need to reform the whole of irish society ,restore the power to the people and take down the elite who have brought us to the brink .I am delighted to learn that someone of your talents, integrity and courage is willing to be a voice for the downtrodden people of Ireland . We need more independents to come forward to support your crusade for real reform .good luck and I will be in your camp in this election.

I live in South Kildare but, if I lived in Dublin South, you’d get my number one. It would be refreshing – if nothing else – to hear a politician get up in the Dail who knows what he’s talking about.

Great article again Shane. I too am itching to protest, but all protests seem to be organised by the grotesquely hypocritical unions. I think we need a Rally to Restore Sanity like they had in DC recently.

What’s going to happen to the people who fleeced us? ‘Nothing, unless someone like Shane Ross goes after the them day in day out, maybe they will get embarrassed by it, all but I doubt it.

However, while these revelations about wastage is boiling the blood of Irish civillians … what will we actually do about it? What are we going to do to make sure it doesn’t happen again? What’s going to happen to the people who fleeced us?
